TLC pledges to assure corporate parents that as we continue to work together with a common goal, service user are guaranteed positive outcomes and lives transformation. Our emphasis is on systemic approach and appropriate use of other developmental approaches so as to engage young people in positive activities.


Transforming Lives Company (TLC) was incorporated in 2009 under the leadership of experienced social care professionals working with vulnerable people especially ‘Looked After Children’. Our service delivery is governed and appraised by legislations that seek to safeguard and promote the wellbeing of children and young people. A few of these legislations are:

  • Equality Act 2010

Within the social care sector the presence of TLC is to ‘make a difference’ in the lives of children and young people and this objective manifest through our 16+ supported accommodation placements (semi independent provisions) and child/family contact supervision.

At TLC we believe positive partnership work with relevant stakeholders especially service users, corporate parents, families, key workers and other external agencies guarantee positive outcomes.

Our philosophy is to be child focused based on our user-involvement policy hence the importance of using various developmental approaches to meet a child’s assessed needs.

We love challenges and as a team of social care professionals, we strive to develop and sustain relationships with all stakeholders within professional boundaries.

To continuously deliver better outcomes and care practices in this dynamic environment TLC aims to continuously review and improve on it services so as to remain highly competitive, efficient and effective.

Team Profile

In adherence to our safer recruitment policy, all members of staff undergo an enhanced CRB check. Potential candidates must hold minimum NVQ 3 in care, equivalent or higher plus two satisfactory work and/or checkable references. TLC has a multi-disciplinary team of professionals including a social care consultant, social workers, systemic and family psychotherapist. We also have access to a Forensic Mental Health Practitioner who offers periodic consultation on our caseloads.
